Montana Presents 2007 Golden Grappler Award To Casa Grande High Wrestler Jonathan Long. Also Presents Special Awards To State Runners-Up Aaron Belloc and Martin Lopez

Andy Montana will be presenting the Golden Grappler Award to this years winner Jonathan Long.  Montana will also be presenting a special award to Aaron Belloc and Martin Lopez for their State Runner-Up finishes at last years state tournament.

The Golden Grappler Award was started in the mid 80's by then wrestling coach Mr. Nick DePadre. Beanies were given to the wrestlers who won 75 % of their matches. In 1994 Mr. DePadre retired and the tradition of the Golden Grappler Award had stopped.

Now Andy Montana, a former Casa Grande Wrestler, wants to bring back the tradition of the award and Casa Grande wrestling. Montana has sponsored this years award and will continue to do so for the years to come.  The coaching staff of the wrestling team will make the decision as to who will recieve the award for: dedication, determination, heart and desire.

Montana Sponsors Santa Cruz Wrestler Mike Guerrero

Andy Montana has sponsored Eloy Santa Cruz High School wrestler Mike Guerrero for his trip to Iowa State University.  Mike will be at ISU from July 9-29 training with the ISU wrestling team and staff during his stay to improve on his already solid wrestling skills and compete against some of the top wrestlers the country.

Mike completed his sophomore season with a record of 35-0 and capturing the 3A State Wrestling Title.
