The objective of the Casa Grande Heat Organization is to introduce, establish, teach and promote softball and baseball to the youth, in an environment that encourages self confidence and self worth; leading to an active, constructive lifestyle.
The CG Heat 14U team went 3-2 to finsh 4th at the ASA Spring Shootout Tournament at Golf Links Park in Tucson. One of the many highlights of this tournament was Krystal Singh's 1st homer over the fence
The CG Heat 12U team also finished 4th at Lincoln Park at the ASA Spring Shootout Tournament.
The CG Heat 12U brought home the Championship at the TCS March Madness Tournament held at Festival Park in Avondale. It was a long day for these young ladies but it all paid off in the end when they run-ruled Shockwave in the Championship game.
The CG Heat 14U team went flat on Sunday but still ended up in the Championship game by winning its first two games in the last innings. The CG Heat 14U team lost 7-2 to Shockwave.
The CG Heat 14U team placed 2nd at the ASA Spring Classic at Rose Mofford Park. This was a tough tournament for everyone but we fell short in the Championship game losing to the Arizona Outlaws '95 team 5-3. CG Heat was leading 3-0 before the Outlaws came back with a grand slam and never looked back.
The CG Heat 12U team finished 5th out of 16 teams beating some tough competition but fell short in the quarterfinals against Scottsdale Fever '96.
CG Heat 12U and 14U Finish 2nd
The 3rd Annual CG Heat ASA Tournament was a successful one, with 20 teams competing at the Paul Mason Sports Complex in Casa Grande.
Both Championship games in the 12U and 14U divisions went into extra innings. In the 12U Division, the Tucson Aztecs '96 and the CG Heat 12U battled it out with the Aztecs coming out on top 6-5.
In the 14U Division, El Paso Crush and CG Heat 14U went 9 innings before the Crush pulled it off winning 5-4.
